The CBA10 centrifugal utility fan moves 3,500 CFM at 1 HP through a 10-inch outlet, with a full-welded powder-coated steel body and belt-or-direct-drive flexibility. It serves exhaust systems in the 3,000–3,800 CFM range where duct resistance is too high for an axial fan — including spray paint booths, chemical storage room exhaust, kitchen grease duct systems with multi-stage filter arrays, and laboratory exhaust risers with in-line resistance.

At 3,500 CFM and 1 HP, the CBA10 covers the exhaust requirements of commercial kitchens with two to three active cooking stations where the ductwork includes grease filters and multiple direction changes, small paint spray booths requiring 15 to 20 air changes per hour with filter resistance accounted for, and laboratory fume cupboard exhaust systems where the building’s riser design introduces 0.5 to 1.0 inches water gauge of additional static pressure above what a direct-path axial fan could overcome.

The belt drive option is especially useful in retrofit installations where the existing motor is still serviceable but needs to drive a new impeller at a different speed. Belt drive also allows speed adjustment by changing the pulley ratio — a practical advantage when the commissioned airflow needs to be fine-tuned after installation without purchasing a new motor. The direct drive configuration simplifies maintenance for constant-speed applications where the motor and impeller are permanently matched.

For applications with lower static pressure requirements where 3,500 CFM is needed at a duct connection larger than 10 inches, the CBA14 (4,800 CFM, 1.5 HP) offers higher capacity. When the load drops below 3,000 CFM, the CBA8 (3,000 CFM, 0.75 HP) provides the appropriate smaller centrifugal option.
