It is designed for large commercial buildings where a single rooftop fan must serve a shared extract riser handling multiple kitchen exhaust points, or where the smoke control strategy requires high-volume extraction from a large occupied floor area at temperatures up to 572°F.
At 11,600 CFM and 3 HP, the RCU24 3HP handles rooftop exhaust for large hotel kitchen complexes serving multiple dining outlets simultaneously, central kitchen extract in hospitals or university catering facilities, multi-tenant food court exhaust risers in commercial towers, and smoke exhaust systems in buildings where the fire strategy requires a rooftop extract rate exceeding 10,000 CFM. The 3 HP motor operating a 24-inch impeller maintains this output with headroom — it does not run at full rated load, which reduces thermal stress on the motor and extends service intervals.
