The CHA20 delivers 8,700 CFM through a compact 20-inch inline body powered by a 3 HP motor — providing strong industrial-grade extraction while drawing significantly less power than the CHA24. It is sized for medium-to-large commercial kitchens, food production facilities, and factory ventilation lines where sustained high-volume airflow is required but the 7.5 HP draw of a 24-inch unit is neither necessary nor justified.

At 8,700 CFM, the CHA20 covers commercial kitchens operating 5 to 8 active cooking stations, food processing lines with continuous steam and odor generation, and light industrial environments requiring high air change rates across enclosed production spaces.

The 3HP motor achieves this output efficiently, drawing approximately 40% less power than a 7.5 HP unit while still delivering the airflow necessary for demanding commercial applications.

The fully welded galvanized steel housing ensures structural integrity under the pressure differential conditions typical of long duct runs in commercial buildings. The axial impeller with inline airflow path keeps static pressure losses low, which is critical when the CHA20 is installed mid-run on an extended duct system serving multiple collection points.

The 20-inch circular duct connection is compatible with standard HVAC ductwork sizing, allowing retrofit installation into existing exhaust systems designed for lower-capacity fans without modifying the duct layout.

For heavier loads exceeding 9,000 CFM, the CHA24 (11,600 CFM, 7.5 HP) is the appropriate step up. For applications in the 5,000–6,500 CFM range, the CHA18 (6,000 CFM, 2 HP) offers the same airframe quality at lower operating cost.
