The HEL-4000 Ecology Unit is engineered for mid-size commercial kitchens that demand reliable, space-efficient air purification without compromising on performance. Weighing just 62 kg with a compact footprint of 650 × 770 × 595 mm, this unit fits seamlessly into tighter mechanical rooms and above-hood installations where larger units cannot.
At its core, a single high-performance electrostatic cell with 7.20 m² of total collecting area captures grease particles as fine as 0.01 microns — achieving up to 95% efficiency in a single pass and 99% in a double pass, per DOP and ASHRAE 52.2-2012 standards. With a rated airflow of 3,500–4,000 CMH, the HEL-4000 comfortably serves commercial kitchens processing up to 4 cooking stations simultaneously, making it the right-sized, cost-effective choice for restaurants, cafés, and boutique hotel kitchens.

Ideal Applications — Who It’s For
Restaurants (up to 120 seats)
4,000 CMH comfortably handles the exhaust load of a full-service restaurant with 2–4 active cooking ranges or grill stations.
Cafés & Juice Bars
The compact 62 kg frame and 770 mm width slot directly into café kitchen exhaust lines without structural reinforcement.
Ghost Kitchens (1–3 brands)
Low operating cost (100 W without UV) keeps shared dark kitchen overheads lean across multi-tenant setups.
Boutique Hotel Kitchens
Single-cell simplicity means faster quarterly cleaning cycles — critical for small hotel teams managing maintenance independently.
Office Pantry Kitchens
MERV 15 rating and BMS terminal integration make this unit compliant with corporate building management standards.
Small Clinic Canteens
Door-open power-off protection and auto-intensity control ensure safe, unattended operation in regulated healthcare environments.
Frequently Asked Questions – HEL-4000
Is the HEL-4000 sufficient for a shawarma restaurant with two vertical rotisseries?
Yes. Two standard vertical rotisseries typically generate an exhaust load of 2,200–2,800 CMH. The HEL-4000’s rated capacity of 4,000 CMH provides a comfortable safety margin, including peak-hour spikes. For three or more rotisseries operating simultaneously, we recommend the HEL-8000.
What hood size pairs correctly with the HEL-4000?
A kitchen exhaust hood designed for 3,500–4,000 CMH airflow — typically 1,200–1,800 mm in length for a standard cooking line — is the correct pairing. The unit supports both right-to-left and left-to-right airflow direction, so it adapts to the hood’s duct orientation without requiring additional ductwork modifications.
How often does the electrostatic cell need cleaning?
For a typical restaurant cooking 6–8 hours daily, the single electrostatic cell should be washed every 4–6 weeks. The aluminium mesh pre-filter, which captures bulk grease before it reaches the cell, should be cleaned bi-weekly. The HEL-4000’s single-cell design means the entire cleaning process takes under 30 minutes.
Can the HEL-4000 connect to a Building Management System (BMS)?
Yes. The unit includes dedicated BMS terminals as standard. This allows facility managers to monitor operating status, receive fault alerts, and integrate the ecology unit into the building’s centralised HVAC control system — with no additional hardware required.
What is the estimated monthly electricity cost to run the HEL-4000?
Operating at 100 W (without UV) for 10 hours a day, 26 working days per month, the unit consumes approximately 26 kWh/month. At the Saudi Electricity Company commercial tariff of SAR 0.18/kWh, that equates to roughly SAR 4.68 per month in electricity — an exceptionally low operating cost for a MERV 15-rated system.
